life is good – GodStop Friday

It’s 9 a.m. Friday and I am drinking my Starbucks and having a zucchini muffin. I haven’t had a cup of real coffee since Tuesday, the zucchini was grown in our garden, and Mike made the muffins. Life is good this morning. I had a couple of medical tests this week which required a fast and no caffeine for 24 hours, then another fast for some bloodwork, and for me it’s been a long 60 hours of no caffeine. Too much tea and coffee and not enough water made me realize I might have a little problem with my caffeine intake! I hardly knew what to do with myself when I didn’t have a glass of iced tea to sip. Now I am not sure you caught that, so I will say it again: MIKE made the muffins, and they are quite good. He even grated the zucchini, which is not my favorite thing to do. So, here I sit, computer in lap, and the best cup of coffee I’ve had in a while. Hope your day is as sweet, filled with restful thoughts and an awareness of gratitude for all that He provides. I had good tests results and all is well (and no excuse not to exercise!), so much to be thankful for on this GodStop Friday. Join us at Patty’s for more GodStops this week, and give a little praise to the One who gives all good things. Here’s the recipe Mike used to make the delectable treats.

  1. Love the zucchini recipe…and a husband that will make them. Praise God for your good test results. And Enjoy your Starbucks!!! Please pray for a couple of friends, one has recently been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and has started treatments, the other was diagnosed with microinvasive cervical cancer. She will undergo a hysterectomy in July. She’s only 32. She has had all the kids she wants, so that is a blessing and the surgery should take care of it, with no need for further treatments. Thank you for the blessing you are to me and for your prayers. Your sister, Karen

  2. Glad the tests results were all good!
Now about the muffins…I’m not a zucchini fan…can you taste them in the muffin? The ingredients sound good though….and they looked good!

  8. Praise God for your great test results! I remember when I worked in a doctor’s office that when patients came in fasting for labs I would have coffee ready for them before they left.
The muffins look yummy and thank you for sharing the recipe. I hope mine turn out just as good. :o)

  9. Just wanted to drop by to say hi!

I’m done with school until the middle of August. I have tons to do to keep up during the summer, but it should be a slower pace!

Glad to know the “test results” were good, whatever they were. Always a praise of thanksgiving when our health is good. We all take it for granted when we are in our 20’s and boy, if I only knew then what I know now!

When do all of the Siesta’s go to the Fiesta? Don’t worry, I’ll check the blog to see. I wish it could be like an annual event. Ask her when you get to do the “siesta’s only” reception 🙂

    Love and blessings,
    Teri

  10. Muffins and coffee, oh what a blessed morning! I’m so glad that the test results were all good!
