the great philosophers

For years, I loved Calvin and Hobbes. Some cartoons just speak to you more. Mike loves Garfield and Dilbert. A new friend of mine loves Winnie the Pooh. I have always loved the Peanuts gang from the time it came out. Not sure what that says about me, but I do like hearing that piano with it. And “Good grief” is a regular part of my vocabulary. Last week I told you about the cute little philosopher Winnie the Pooh, so I’ll include quotes from Peanuts…Gotta love the Gang.

“Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, “Where have I gone wrong?” Then a voice says to me, “This is going to take more than one night.” Peanuts’ Charlie Brown

“Sometimes when I get up in the morning, I feel very peculiar. I feel like I’ve just got to bite a cat! I feel like if I don’t bite a cat before sundown, I’ll go crazy! But then I just take a deep breath and forget about it. That’s what is known as real maturity.” Peanuts’ Snoopy

What is your favorite cartoon, and if you don’t mind sharing, I’d love to know why? Got any quotes from them?

Peanuts is my fav, also The Far Side. The humor between the two is very different. I personally relate to Charlie Brown sometimes and sometimes to Lucy. I like the zaniness of The Far Side. Thre’s one with a teenager in it that I like, too. Have you ever read the gospel according to Charles Schulz?

I forgot how much I loved the peanuts. Lincoln loves them! I remember my Dad used to love reading the funnies! I usually pass them by. I wonder what that says about me? Thanks for the reminder to laugh and not take life too seriously. I think I’ll go find them now!

    HUGS to you today!
