“Don’t be afraid. Just believe, and your daughter will be made well.” Luke 8:50 NCV

I’m already behind in the Scripture memorization but still picked a verse hoping to catch up. This verse was an immediate answer to prayer for me this last week. I was sitting in the neurologist’s office with my daughter and was praying very specifically for some areas of her healing as I waited while she went in to see the doctor. After I prayed, I picked up my iPad to read a little and the first thing I saw was this verse in the middle of a page highlighted in yellow no less.  It took my breath away to see such an immediate and direct answer to the concerns I had just placed before God. Anyway, it’s an important one to remember, not only for its promise but for the faith it encouraged inside me last week.

Isn’t God amazing in His provision and timing to minister to us right where we need it! I am most thankful for the peace that comes with this understanding.

I have neglected Sunday’s song the last couple of weeks, but as always, I invite you to comment with your own prayer requests and I will join you in prayer, especially claiming these promises to just believe and not fear.

(The page is from the book, "Fearless" by Max Lucado.)

Annette, I got tears after reading your blog. I am assuming that everything is ok with your oldest! I am currently in Beth Moore’s Revelation Bible Study and we are to come back each week to our small groups with what God had revealed to us that week. Yours is a good one! Take care and love annie’s eyes!

What a great verse! It’s amazing how many times we can see something and still not “see” it until the right time. Rejoicing in your comfort!

I love your new look on here, Annette! I think you chose the perfect verse to memorize. Even though you already told me the story, I just got the chills reading this. I’m not sure if I “registered” my last verse on the LPM blog and there are literally thousands to go through to find out. It confirms the fact that I am memorizing mine for some life-changing results instead of to impress others with my capability to memorize. I want mine in my heart. Anyway… who knows? Maybe I’ll be in Houston for yet another SMT celebration! 🙂

I love doing this with you!
