team hoyt

This is a father son team who competes in ironman triathlons. Rick has cerebral palsy.

So, what are you thankful for?

When I see this kind of human love, I cannot even fathom the Love our Father has for us. He loves you so. Even in the storms. Even in the hard places this life can give. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and know you are one step closer to the finish line. I am so thankful for my family, and my awesome God who draws near to me as I draw near to Him.

My son is in Mexico doing the ITU Pan American Games representing the US so this clip touches home in a sweet way for me. Next week, he’ll be in China at the World Cup. It’s a sport that requires much from you. I know a little bit what it takes physically and emotionally and spiritually for that dad to do what he did. How beautiful. I’m a mess too crying over here. I came by to tell you on your blog that your words spoken to me TODAY by phone were the very words of my beautiful Christ spoken to deep places in my heart and I cannot thank you enough!

    Hi Annette,

I know what you mean about sad and proud at the same time. I just posted on my blog the link Kelly sent me that had the newpaper report of their deaths.

I heard today a young man my children grew up with back in our hometown committed suicide.

I just posted on my blog about that.

I’m just trusting right now and walking in faith because I can even smell the old fears coming back.

GOD is faithful and HE will be with me.

    Blessings and love,
    Teri
