“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” (1 Timothy 1:15)

Since a picture paints a thousand words, the theme for GodStop Friday this week is “in pictures.” My GodStop was in church of all places, but no ordinary chuch.

.

We went to church at a biker bar on Easter Sunday. It was about as atypical a Sunday as I’ve ever had. It was also one of the most meaningful. Yankee’s Tavern opens its doors each Sunday for Harvest Field Church. I saw such raw and pure love for the Lord, as His redeemed sang and shared their 180 degree changed lives. The guest worship leader was Terry Fancher, Black Sabbath’s lead guitarist, before he gave his life to Christ, and that was only the beginning.

The picture above is of Terry Fancher with the pastor. If you could zoom in on those jackets below, you’d see they were not just bikers. They were a band of brothers. The guys in black jackets with crosses are known as “The Tribe of Judah.”

He so faithfully shines in redeemed hearts. There seems to be no one as sold out to Jesus as one who has been mightily delivered. Lord, deliver us all in such a way that the testimony of our hearts can do nothing but turn and praise You. Happy Godstop Friday, everyone.

That is so cool! The jackets and the name they use, but especially the part that it blessed Patty and gives her the hope her and her family needs. I love to see God working through His children!! It blesses me.

    Blessings in Christ-

    Hi Annie!
I want to tell you that your post has really blessed me. As soon as I can I am going to show this to my youngest son. Let me share why, literally 5 minutes ago he was talking to me about his father. We have been praying for his salvation for over 10 years. He said, momma do you realize what a change that would be for him? He would have such a powerful testimony because he has been in such bad situations and has been so far from God. I told him Jesus has enough power to save their father. I come here and read this awesome God Stop and see wonderful pictures, it is just a confirmation they need to increase their faith in God to save their father!! Thank you so much for sharing with us!! I promise I will answer your email you sent me. I am a little slow. 🙂
    Love,

Love your God Stop. It was great to see. We as Christians sometimes forget that the “Church” is the body of believers and not the building. The building is just the place where you meet.
Great God Stop. Have a wonderful week !

    Annette,

I haven’t been to a church done in a bar, but I have seen a Biker Church.
Mark loves riding banks so we have been around lots of Christian rider groups.
You are right about a truly redeemed heart. When you have been delivered from horrible captivity you will tell anyone that will listen who your Savior was!
    Awesome post!
    Love and prayers
