News Alert…it’s time once again to plant your pumpkin seeds in the South for pumpkins in your flower beds this Halloween. There is something about 110 in the shade that makes you want to dream of autumn pumpkins with chrysanthemums and crotons, and maybe a bale of hay and a scarecrow. So turn your air down and pretend it’s October!

Hey Annie, Love the new site, what made you switch? I’m going to try pumpkins this year. I used to grow them when I lived in IL, but haven’t tried here in TX. I will give it a try and let you know my results! Are you still going to Siesta Fiesta? If you are enjoy it for me, and let me know all about it. Karen

There will be no planting of any seeds here this week! It has been storming every day! I think we had a mini tornado here today, my pool furniture was turned every which way!

We’re hot here.also, but our gardening is winding down. I’d love to be able to plant now.

I hate to say it, but the high here today is supposed to be 84. Which is totally bizarre but I am not about to look a gift weatherman in the mouth. Of course, the heat wave is moving in Thursday, just in time for the start of the state fair. Because we can’t have a state fair without sweltering, nasty weather outside.

I hope your day is totally blessed!
    love you,
    karen

Oh, we are supposed to find out about daddy’s test results tomorrow. Please pray for him when you get a chance.
