now what?

Does anyone know how to make wax candles out of beeswax? I have quite a lot of it after we harvested the honey that I need to figure out what to do with. Other ideas would be good, too. Just learning about the bees is fascinating but I can’t believe how much honey! Maybe we have a new cottage industry! Oh boy–another project looming on the horizon.  After watching “Secret Life of Bees,” I am motivated!

    I got my beekeeper’s badge when I was a Girl Scout—lol.
I think it was based on research, nothing else. I run from bees.

Don’t know how to make candles from beeswax, sorry I cannot help you. Have you made a facial mask from honey, yet?

Can’t help you here. Have you surfed the web yet? I’m sure you can find the answer out there. Let us know what you decide to do with the wax and how the project turns out

Good luck and enjoy the honey!

I do, but it’s none of your beeswax.

    LOL?

    Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.

    Ahem.

    Um, can’t help you there.

Do you have to do anything to purify or pasturize the honey?

The only thing I know to do with bees is to not move when they are near. Because if I move then they might see me. Or is that dinosaurs on Jurassic Park? Enjoy the honey! (Oh, if I were only Winnie the Pooh…)
