We have some very happy news at our house. My darling Lauren is getting married in less than two months! Actually, she’s been engaged since New Year’s Eve, but things have been in a whirlwind around here. Right now, it’s relatively calm (and that makes me a tad nervous as we were in a spin at this point with Lindsay’s wedding. You’d think I could just rest in the traquility! )

The wedding is coming together nicely.  We’ll have another beautiful wedding in June after Lindsay’s amazing wedding last October.  Fortunately, we have a whole other kind of magic planned for their special day in Costa Rica. With an intimate setting on the Pacific coast, they’ll say their vows on the beach at this resort.

After a very difficult year with her health, lots of fabulous travel opportunities, a year-long foreign study, a Master’s Degree from Oxford, then trying to find the balance in another town with not being able to drive, Lauren, you sure know how to make the most of a year! And now–a fairy tale wedding, and a wonderful life together with the one you love.

Please join us in praying for God’s richest blessing on them both. Lauren and Mike, we love you so and wish you all the best!

What a sweet post for Lauren and Mike! I can’t imagine having married children and now you’ll have two! I hope you are still working on the “live” video skype so we can watch while you are Costa Rica. I’m sure you can make it happen! I wouldn’t want to miss it! I’m praying you are feeling better and better so you’ll be able to enjoy this very special wedding. I like Lauren’s style!

I’m praying for your precious daughter, Lauren and her fiance! Remember the floor of HFBC? I do! 🙂

    Love you,
    Angie xoxo

Welcome to my writing home.
This is the place where I gather my thoughts, my faith, and the quiet wonder I find in everyday life.

Here you’ll find reflections on God, truth, grace, and the beauty hidden in ordinary moments. I write about faith that wrestles and trusts, joy that grows even in hard seasons, and the deep goodness of paying attention. Through honest words and gentle perspective, this blog is an invitation to slow down, look deeper, and see life through eyes of hope and gratitude.
