hidden treasures

from Prince Caspian:

“Aslan,” said Lucy, “you’re bigger.”
“That is because you are older, little one,” answered he.
“Not because you are?”
“I am not. But every year you grow, you will find me bigger.”

Aslan is the God-like figure in the Narnia series. “Every year you grow, you will find me bigger.”I can’t wait to see this movie. If you get to see it, please tell me what you think. C.S. Lewis is my favorite contemporary Christian writer when I can tiptoe high enough to grasp his hidden wisdom.

  1. Annie,
I took my boys to the midnight show last Thursday night/Friday morning. We got home at 3 in the morning and I slept in Friday morning. It was a reward for diligent study of the book of Prince Caspian. Other homeschool friends joined in going. We had 17 children in the theater that midnight. It was fun. But I’m not a night person so it will be a while before I do that again.

    Have you seen it yet?

    Blessings in Christ–

  2. We love this series. It’s been a while since I’ve read Prince Caspian, but last night, we saw the preview in the theater, and it was breathtaking. I know this sounds childlike, but when Aslan roars, it makes me think of the Lion of Judah and how Christ is returning to set all crooked things straight, and I feel this tremendous joy in my heart.

I have never read the books, but I saw the first movie and I loved it, I can’t wait to see this one…
I can’t wait to hear what you have to say about it, we don’t go to the theater much, so we may have to wait until the movie comes out on DVD, so please do tell…
