happy blogaversary GIVEAWAY

blogWell, my goodness! Teena had to leave me a comment for me to realize we have some celebrating to do. Today, annie’s eyes turns two! And with that she said, “Let them eat cake.”

We need a party over here, and I need you to help spread the news, so tell your friends. Leave me a comment and I’ll draw five names at the end of the week–let’s say next Monday, since this is also graduation week for us.

So, we need cake. How about cupcakes delivered to your door? Prize #1 is: Twelve party cupcakes, to be precise from Everything Cupcake (TM) for you to share with your family and friends.

And we need music. Let’s give away two cd’s of Chris Tomlin’s Hello Love. So that’s prizes #2 and #3. There are some of my favorite songs on that cd. You may win either an iTune gift certificate or the cd mailed to you, your choice.

Now, that we have the party going, how about some gifts? My favorite thing lately is my iPod nano chromatic, though I have the boring um, classy silver one. Prize #4: You can select your 8 GB nano from nine differrent colors. We’ll give away one to give you some great tunes for the coming summer months.

Okay, that ought to make a fun party. Now, you’re wondering what you have to do to win one of these smokin’ hot items? Just leave a comment where I can reach you and tell me what your favorite blog is with the URL address and then tell me why you like that one particularly. (**I’m looking for new blogs myself, so don’t feel like you need to say anything about my blog–I’m just glad you stopped by. )Remember this is a family friendly blog–‘nuf said.  The contest is open to US and Canadian residents until midnight Sunday, May 24 and your email will only be used for this selection process. One entry per email address, please.  Winners will be selected randomly. See you next Monday with the winners!

  4. I like this one
    http://www.coolmompicks.com/
Lots of great info and helpful product reviews for women, moms and kids.
I especially like that they mainly focus on: “non-mainstream products and services, particularly those from indie or emerging designers and mom/women-run companies.”

    Happy anniversary!

  5. I really love all the blogs they are very inspirational. I would have to say my favorite which is hard would be angbaylis.blogspot.com the reason being it reminds me of me and makes me take a look at my faults as well as my blessings. Happy anniversary and congrats.

  6. I’m not sure how I stumbled onto your site but I love it. I also follow several money saving sites. With the economy the way it is I need every available hint to keep above water.

  7. Happy Anniversary…I must say…you have really hit your stride…your writing is always so heart felt and you always make me long to spend time with the Lord.

    I love your blog…for sure…

    I also love…The Simple Wife

    Love and hugs,

  8. My favorite blog is http://sheknows.com/blogs/alytude/
The writing is witty, and I tend to share the same perspective as the author!

Happy ‘blogaversary’ to you, Happy ‘blogaversary’ to you, Happy ‘blogaversary’ dear ‘annie’s eyes’ ….. Happy ‘blogaversary’ to you

    And MANY MORE!!!!! 🙂

  9. There are so many great blogs- I love my own because my kids blog with me and it is so interesting to see what they have to say, some of it new to me although we’ve had a lot going on lately with illness and whatnot so we’ve been a bit lax http://myloonyverse.com

    I also really love http://5minutesformom.com

Your blog is new to me but I have already bookmarked it since I skimmed through a few pages of posts and I like both your writing style and the recipes look like ones my family would enjoy.

Thank you so much for the chance to win and Congrats on your blogiversary.

  10. Oh dear – I’m new to all this blogging stuff and it’s rather overwhelming. Blogs are everywhere! I’m so glad you asked this question though, because now I can go down the list and check out the ones that people like.

  11. How fun! Annette you are so creative … My fav o course is yours because I know your beautiful and genuine heart ( NOT KISSING UP !!!) I also like Angie’s because you introduced me —and know she is one who seeks and searches and has such a sweet spirit . I also like Katie Burns blog. She and her husband are newlyweds and have a job assignment in Europe. So great to see a grounded young couple in love and enjoying their new adventures — and growing !

  12. Finally, I figured out how to do this! I’m new! Still trying to figure out FB too! My 2 favorite blogs are both by young women who are beautiful Christians caring for severely handicapped children. One couple I know personally, is the same age as my son and my heart breaks for them as they have had life shattering news about this child and the genetics that prevent them from having others. http://audreyspath.blogspot.com/
The other blog is someone that I’ve never met, but who lives here in Houston, and her son’s Sunday School teacher was my son’s Life Skills teacher in elementary school many years ago. He is 3 and has been diagnosed with a disability that is terminal, but he’s hanging in, fighting and showing them God’s blessings in places no parent ever wants to go. http://www.carepages.com/carepages/JoshuaGrantOber/updates/1537872

  13. Tough decision- do I like blogs that save me money or blogs with beading information.

Well, when I am buying shoes, and can’t decide between the black and the navy, I get both, so we’ll use that philosophy here!

    saving money blogs:
    http://frugalplus.com
    http://www.frugalfreebiesanddeals.com
I can’t tell u the number of free samples and restaurant discounts and good coupons I’ve gotten from both of these blogs.

I love beading blogs with pretty pictures and tutorials and patterns:
    http://fszevagyongy.blogspot.com
    http://janiesbeads.blogspot.com/
I am sure there are more favorites, but those are two at the top of my bookmarks!

  14. Happy Anniversary!
I just got done looking/reading your inspirational blog and it’s wonderful!

Another of my favorites is http://www.engadget.com/ because they have been very helpful giving me tips on which tech products are the best to buy etc..

🙂 Thank you for the wonderful giveaway! 🙂

  15. My favorite is Cake Wrecks http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/
I can always count on a giggle if not a huge uncontrollable laugh from reading this site. The wedding cake and baby showers cakes are a favorite – just so horrible wrong LOL. Whenever I need a pick me up I read this blog

  16. Happy, happy (that’s two!) anniversary! I’m so glad you ventured into this arena so that we could meet and I could be blessed by knowing you in many ways. Of course I love your blog, Annette. Your writing touches my soul on a regular basis. I also enjoy “From Under the Laundry Pile” at blogspot. Heth is the mom of a bajillion kids, and she’s smart, deep, funny, and unassuming but awesome.
Love and congratulations and blessings to you!

  17. Congratulations on being 2. I think I found your site thru the LPM or it may have been Bev Brandon’s…probably hers. I have enjoyed and been blessed by your writing so much. One site that you may not have ever visited but has spoken to my heart as she has struggled thru the loss of her husband is Janine on One Breath at a Time…txmomx6.blogspot.com. She has six children. She has blessed me with her transparency and her growth thru her learning of Him during this time of grief. Your site and Angie’s and JeanMac’s are some that I read every day. You truly do have a generous heart and one full of love. Your Sunday songs always speak to me and help set the tone for my day of worship. Hope you have a great graduation time this week end and are enjoying all of the wedding preparations. Love and blessings..Mary Lou

  18. I have two favorites:
angbaylis.blogspot.com because she is so real! I love that she is so willing to say even the negative things about herself and let us relate and then be in touch with God over them too. That’s just like the bible—real. Angie is also the one to introduce me to the Christian womens blogging world and I have been blessed many times over.

My other favorite is aholyexperience.com because of the beautiful writing and photography and the humble lessons!

    Thank you for asking…..

  19. I thought you meant which blog entries of yours
are our (<–see, i got it right. 🙂 favorites. I love the blogs that capture the beauty, the struggle, and the sweet surrender of everyday life. I also love to look at the birthday shoutouts because it makes me feel very loved (especially when i’m homesick).

As far as other blogs go, I really enjoy looking at zenhabits.com. Leo, the author, gives tips on small improvements we each can make to create more simplicity and peace in our lives.

    • oh… also Oxford professor of Mathematics, Dr. Marcus du Sautoy, usually has interesting posts, and he has a REALLY interesting book about symmetry. In the UK it’s called FINDING MOONSHINE, but since that doesn’t mean the same thing in the States, the US version has a different name.

  20. I’m definitely ready for a party!

Happy Anniversary! You have blessed me so much with your writing, friendship, encouragement and sisterhood. I am truly grateful for you.

    Enjoy!

    love,
    karen

  21. I don’t want anyone to feel left out, so I’ll just tell you that I love everyone’s blogs equally! Any woman who is willing to put herself out there and be bold enough to share her faith with the whole worldwide web is a woman I admire! I love when I click on someone’s blog, then for some reason (you know it’s God) I start clicking on another, then another and before I know it, I have no idea how I got there, and am blessed by a total stranger! I’ll never forget the first time I found yours from the LPM blog. In a comment you said you wanted Beth to look into the eyes of the woman who needed Him most. God brought me to Annie’s Eyes. He must have known I needed you most! Sorry to get so sappy, but with hormones and all, I can cry at a birthday party for a two-year-old! Thanks for your generosity. I’m not surprised… it’s just like you!
    Love you,
    Angie xoxo

  22. Congrats on your second Anniversary!!!!!!! The three blogs that I love to read are yours, Angies and Beth Moores….. all women of God encouraging others…

    Blessings Barbara

  23. Happy 2nd anniv…we could have split a cupcake yesterday to mark the occasion.

Favorite blog…I can narrow it down to 3, yours, Karen’s, and Lproof…

    Love, Annette H

  24. There are so many blogs that I follow. My Top three blogs Annie’s eyes as it provides such a variety of inspirational and yet also daily living etc. I also appreciate your recipes and love the Sunday songs.
The LPM Blog has help me grow so much spiritually in so many directions.
And recently I have added BevBrandon’s blog and have been so deeply touched at the raw faith she consistently exhibits.

Thank you for being so vunerable to teach me more about the LORD and His Grace.

    Sylvia Vicain

  25. It’s a tie! Both the LPM blog (http://www.lproof.org/) and yours refresh me with God’s word and inspire me to be all God is calling me to be.
And thanks for the songs – I’ve made some new “favorites” listening to your Sunday songs.

  26. My favorite blog is Eighty MPH Mom :http://eightymphmom.blogspot.com/. I love this blog because Jennifer has a lot of great giveaways, I love the layout of her blog and she talks about some great topics that I can relate to. Thanks so much for such a wonderful giveaway!
