sunday’s song – thy word

The theme of the weekend was Psalm 119. A genuine reminder from a beautiful voice in some of the first contemporary Christian music I remember. His Word is full of light and wisdom and grace and beauty–everything we need to know His amazing love story for each of us. Thank Him for His Word today and worship Him. He loves you so.

  1. I bought this song on the plane. I’m still digesting the whole thing. His Word really did change my heart this past year and He deserves every bit of the glory. Just Him- not me. I quizzed myself just for fun on the ride home, to try to press them in my heart. I also read yours. He really spoke to me through Ezekiel 36:25-28. I think the whole thing is worth remembering.

“I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God.”

I heard the word “I” very loudly. If I’m being totally honest, I think I was putting someone else on a pedestal and she shouldn’t be there. Knowing her, she doesn’t want to be there anyway. He is God … and He does not disappoint us. I also read all through Psalm 119. Amazing!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity!
    Love you, angie xoxo

  2. Hmmm…that reminds me that I know another scripture! 🙂

I hope you enjoyed your weekend! I would have loved to have been there…but it’s been good being here as well. (doesn’t that song bring back memories? It makes me feel old…I remember when Michael was “just one of Amy’s musicians!)

    love you,
    karen
