As you read this, we’ll almost be home after a week in Costa Rica. Many pictures will follow this post– a beautiful country, beautiful Pacific waters, exotic flowers, and my precious little girl now married, smiling bigger than I’ve ever seen. May God bless them as a new family with her own darling new eight year old son, Liam, and her blessed husband for always. As we do here on Sundays at “annie’s eyes”, let’s offer prayers today out of our overflowing hearts. Wherever you are today, can you stop a minute and give God a little praise? He’s so worthy. If you have a prayer need, please use this place to share and I’ll join you in that prayer. Blessings this Lord’s Day!
BIG praises we are singing in the Geffert household. Just before we left, our dog escaped the home where she would be staying for the next week. We spent the better part of the day before we left putting up signs and driving endlessly through a neighborhood trying to find her. 43 signs later and 20 hours of missing, we got a call from a guy who had seen our signs and spotted her, called her name, and she came up to him. Minutes before boarding, he called us to say he gave her some food and water and had her. We made some quick arrangements for her to be picked up by my dear friend Cathy and we were on the plane. Such a sweet blessing not to worry about our other family member we were leaving behind.
And of course, our hearts are full with the joy of a new son-in-law, and an instant grandson! This was a two-fer, and what a sweet little guy he is. I’m all ready to spoil him seriously! Safe travels, a beautiful trip and a blessed marriage all top my list of gratitude this Monday after. Thanks be to our wondrous God.
